Brass Goggles - The Lighter Side of Steampunk: Reassurance in this Time of Uncertainty…

  • Ottens · 1 year ago
Thank you for the reassurance in this time of trouble. I hope you'll all be able to keep things running as usual soon. Please let me know if I can be of some help!

    Oops---where I wrote "keep", I meant "get".

    Huzzah!

I'm a little leniant about going over to Spare Goggles, might get into a thread that'll still be going by the time BG opens up again.

And OutaSpaceman, that sign should be the official motto of the forum, it's iconic! I remember seeing it the first day I got on!

Spiffingly good to hear from the goggles clan at last - but I too am having a spot of bother using the spare goggles link.

Meanwhile my 'discombubulator' ray pistol is progressing rather splendidly.

Oh well - back to loitering around the flea markets in steampunk attire in the forlorn hope of meeting fellow tinkerers...

Glad to hear you're all keeping your chins up over in the thick of it.

We're all carrying on and making do, and looking forward with pleasure to the fora comming back up to form. Good luck chaps and chapettes!

The link to spare goggles is broken.

If the link in the blog entry doesn't work for you, try http://sparegoggles.forumotion.net/ instead.

The link in the post above isn't clickable, but when I copy/pasted it into my browser, it worked just fine. :-)
  • Rev. Redmond Farrier · 1 year ago
Just copy/paste the link into your browser rather than clicking on it. The clickable link is only linked to "http:///" rather than the website.

(if this shows up twice, I am sorry. I tried to post this before and it did not show up for me.)

Much as I am loathe to concede to the commercialisation of all things steampunk, I would dearly love to purchase a copy of that sign.

Hoorah for updates and eventual repairs!

My sincerest apologies, I didn't believe that signing you up for the first round of testing of an experimental non-euclidean fibre-optic data-line would have such disastrous results.

    Spare Goggles. I Love it.

So glad to hear an update, I have been worried that this dear forum had been lost. Thank you so much for working so hard getting us all back together.

I've been wondering where it's been for months! Not that I had the opportunity to view it before that, not having known of it's existence.

    Milady Broekhart,
I believe the sign is from the Second Great War; a short perusal (on the Euclidian Network; the other system keeps attempting to install Elder Gods sound recordings on my system, and it keeps going 'Hastur'...) should find for you several different ways to possess this simple message, from posters to tea mugs.

    Yay!

Thanks so much for the update. If your stick-swingin' arm becomes fatigued, I'd be happy to chip in for a spell.

PS. I think I need a "Keep calm and carry on" bumper sticker. Anyone need a project?
